Ed Kerry
I’m Ed Kerry, the owner and founder of GL52 Fitness, a gym built on passion, community, and real results. When I launched GL52 over three years ago, my goal was simple: to create an inclusive space where training is accessible to everyone, regardless of experience, lifestyle, or ability.
Fast forward to today, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved. GL52 has become more than just a gym, it’s a place where lives are transformed. We’ve helped members come off diabetes medication for the first time in over a decade, significantly reduce cholesterol levels, and embark on incredible weight loss journeys. Beyond health milestones, we’ve seen members push themselves to huge physical challenges, from conquering Kilimanjaro to competing in Hyrox events.
Something you might not know about me is that I’m an endurance athlete. In 2015, I completed the Marathon des Sables, finishing 21st overall out of 1,500 runners and as the 2nd Brit to cross the line. I’ve competed in numerous endurance races, constantly pushing my limits, just like I encourage our members to do.
As a highly qualified personal trainer, my drive is to make GL52 the best gym in Gloucestershire. I wanted to create a family-friendly, welcoming environment, where fitness fits into your life, not the other way around. As a parent myself, I know how important it is to have a space where you can train while knowing your child is safe, happy, and healthy.
GL52 isn’t just a gym, it’s a community, a support system, and a place where you can become the best version of yourself. Whether you’re looking for expert coaching, real accountability, or just a great place to train, we’re here to help you every step of the way.

Jack Duncan
Hi, I’m Jack, a coach here at GL52 Fitness.
Fitness has always been a huge part of my life. I joined the Royal Marines at 16, where strength, endurance, and discipline became second nature. Alongside my training, I competed in football, MMA, and CrossFit, developing a passion for movement, performance, and pushing limits.
In 2016, I moved to Australia, where I earned my Personal Training qualifications and began coaching in 2019. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible clients, helping them reach their goals and transform their lives. Seeing people progress, move better, feel stronger, and enjoy the process is what drives me every day.
My coaching philosophy is simple: perfect the fundamentals, move well, and train for longevity. I focus on technique, injury prevention, and building a solid foundation so you can train hard, stay healthy, and enjoy fitness for life.

Dan Hewitt
Hi, I’m Dan, a coach here at GL52 Fitness.
GL52 has been part of my life since the very early days, I first joined as a member and quickly embraced everything the gym stands for: consistency, community, and putting the work in. Over time, that passion for training grew into a clear goal of becoming a coach myself, and I’m proud to now be part of the coaching team.
Training has always been a constant for me. I’m still a regular on the gym floor and remain top of the attendance leaderboard, simply by showing up, training hard, and practising what I coach. I believe that leading by example matters.
I come from a strong sporting background, having played rugby for some of the leading teams, which taught me the importance of teamwork, resilience, and physical preparation. That experience shapes my coaching style today, structured, supportive, and focused on building strong, capable athletes at every level.
My coaching approach is about consistency, solid fundamentals, and helping people build confidence in their training. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to push performance, my aim is to help you train smarter, move better, and enjoy the process.

Katie Williams
Hi, I’m Katie, a coach here at GL52 Fitness.
Before moving into coaching, I worked as a primary school teacher and completed a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science, two paths that shaped the way I approach fitness today. Education, encouragement, and understanding people as individuals sit at the heart of everything I do.
As a qualified personal trainer, I’m passionate about helping people feel better both physically and mentally. I believe training should be sustainable, enjoyable, and confidence-building, not intimidating or overwhelming. My focus is on helping clients get stronger, move better, and improve their overall wellbeing, while creating positive habits that last.
My coaching style blends science-led programming with empathy and clear guidance. I take the time to explain the why behind the training, adapt sessions to suit different needs, and make sure everyone feels supported, whether you’re new to exercise or looking to progress further.
I love seeing people grow in confidence, energy, and self-belief through training, and I’m excited to support you on your journey at GL52.

Wow, just had my first sports massage with James and he was brilliant. From start to finish he was professional, polite and extremely personable. He located and resolved muscle issues I didn’t know I had. I floated out of the treatment room – feeling incredibly relaxed.
